The 38-year-old Frenchman will only race part-time in next year's championship and is aiming to secure his ninth drivers' crown in front of his home fans.
Loeb will go into the final six stages on Sunday with a 29.7-second lead over the Ford Fiesta of Jari-Matti Latvala and knowing he only has to finish ahead of his Citroen team-mate Mikko Hirvonen to secure the championship.
Although Hirvonen claimed a stage victory at Massif des Grands Crus-Ungersberg 2, he remains in third place, 54 seconds adrift of Loeb.
Earlier in the day the 12th stage in Klevener was cancelled by event organisers due to an influx of spectators making the 10.75km test undriveable.
