Team GB's boxers are in upbeat mood ahead of the Olympics

The Rio Olympics are almost upon us and the Team GB boxing squad are being counted on to deliver a solid medal haul.

The squad secured five medals at London 2012 and will be taking their largest-ever squad to Rio, UK Sport having invested almost £14m in boxing during this Olympic cycle.

Nicola Adams memorably claimed gold four years ago and says she is thriving under the expectation that comes with being the defending champion.

"I love the pressure," Adams told Sky Sports News HQ. "I like the fact that everybody thinks I can win. It just gives me more confidence."

Savannah Marshall was a world title winner in 2012 but failed to medal at the Olympics and is determined to do better in Rio.

"I came away with nothing in London," Marsall said. "I have given myself another chance and I am not going to throw it away."
