Surrey Storm and Loughborough Lightning will be aiming to maintain their perfect starts in the Vitality Netball Superleague season this weekend.

Both teams are in action on Saturday with Storm at home against winless Celtic Dragons, while their challengers Loughborough travel to Hertfordshire to take on the Mavericks.

This Friday, Team Bath entertain Team Northumbria with Wasps in action against Manchester Thunder.

Wasps have won four of their opening five games this season, with Thunder experiencing a mixed start to the season, winning three of their first five.

A Kiwi mother and daughter make their mark in Northumbria

The attacking talent of Natalie Haythornthwaite is looking forward to taking on her old Thunder team, telling the official Vitality Superleague website: "They're a great group of girls, I'm still in touch with them off the court but as soon as the whistle goes it's game on and the only thing that matters is getting the win.

"It's always tough to leave a team, I had a great year at Thunder but when the opportunity arose to play for Wasps and work with Tamsin [Greenway], I just couldn't turn it down.

"I've loved it here at Wasps so far. We've still got so much more potential, we know we're not playing at our best yet, and I can't wait to see what our best is when we get there.

Seven Stars and Sirens is the final game of the week six fixtures, with both teams desperate for three points which would inch them away from the bottom two sides.
