Manchester Thunder kept their unbeaten start to the Netball Superleague alive at the expense of Loughborough Lightning.
The visitors, Thunder, won 56-55 in an exciting back-and-forth encounter that saw Lightning challenge for the win until the final few seconds.
Thunder have won all four matches in the 2018 season, drawing level with Wasps Netball at the top of the table, after ending Lightning's three-win run.
Lightning's Peace Proscovia gave away a footwork foul in the closing seconds with her side just one goal behind.
Thunder's Emma Dovey paid tribute to team-mate Joyce Mvula, who came on with her side losing in the first quarter, saying: "It's really difficult to come on so early and, as a shooter, it can knock your confidence if you're not in the starting seven.
"We need to look at how we start games - we show character and we pull through in the end, but our starts are letting us down."
Lightning head coach Anna Carter added: "We didn't play with the intensity. The game-plan was solid but game-plans only good if you stick to them with intensity. We didn't manage that.
"We need to work harder for longer periods of time. I think that is down to fitness."
Just days after Round Three was finished, all 10 teams were in action on Monday night and their were a couple of close encounters on a busy night in the Superleague, among the four other matches Wasps and Team Bath joined Thunder in maintaining their perfect start to the season.
Wasps put an end to Mavericks unblemished start, winning 66-52 to inflict the hosts first defeat of the campaign and take over from Team Bath on points difference at the top of the table.
Bath had earlier edged a West Country contest against the winless Severn Stars, eventually prevailing 48-47 for a fourth win of the season.
There was good news for UWS Sirens who picked up their first victory of 2018 with a 45-40 win over Team Northumbria in their first hoem game of the season at the Emirates Arena and Celtic Dragons also grabbed their first three points.
A win for the Welsh franchise came at the expense of Surrey Storm, the former champions who have now lost each of their opening four matches.
