Odell Beckham Jnr was seen falling to the floor outside New York Giants' dressing room, weeks before the NFL kicks off

Odell Beckham Jnr limped out of New York Giants' pre-season game against Cleveland Browns on Monday ahead of next month's new NFL campaign.

The Giants' wide receiver took a legal hit to his left leg from Briean Boddy-Calhoun while leaping to make a catch and was seen forced to the floor in the tunnel after leaving the field.

X-rays revealed there was no break and the Giants later confirmed Beckham suffered a high ankle sprain, which could see him face a fight to be fit in time to line up against Dallas Cowboys in Week 1, live on Sky Sports Action on September 11.

"Everything's good," Beckham told WFAN radio after the game. "Shake it off, go play football."

Beckham has reached the Pro Bowl in each of his first three seasons in the NFL, establishing himself as one of the league's most dangerous receivers.

The 24-year-old caught 101 passes last season and recently said he wants to be the league's highest-paid player.
