The longest transfer saga of the summer is finally over after midfielder James Milner sealed his big-money switch from Aston Villa to Manchester City. Milner joins a wealth of exciting talent at Eastlands, including the quality of striker Carlos Tevez.
Milner arguably enjoyed the best season of his career last campaign as he was utilised by then-Villa boss Martin O'Neill in a central midfield role, rather than out wide. He blossomed in said position, with his form so impressive that he caught the eye of England boss Fabio Capello.
The 24-year-old boasts an eye for a defence-splitting pass, making him an ideal candidate to help his new club Kill the Nil this term. Indeed, after racking up a superb total of 12 assists last season, he could strike a formidable understanding with striker Tevez.
Like Tevez, Milner provides a goal threat, having netted 12 goals in all competitions last term. The former was also in inspirational form last year as he scored the winning goal for his side on seven occasions.
The former Manchester United man is a bullish player, capable of giving any defence in the world a 90-minute headache. As demonstrated in the Premier League and at the 2010 World Cup, Tevez couples work-rate with unquestionable class.
And now, the duo can be paired together in the same starting XI, making for a mouth-watering combination with future opponents set to be extremely wary of them Killing the Nil.
