Crouch 1/3 to make World Cup Squad

Following England's 3-0 win over Belarus, Sky Bet have revised their betting on who will make Fabio Capello's 23-man squad for South Africa and have cut Peter Crouch's odds of making the squad to 1/3 (from 4/6) following his two-goal display.

Crouch: delighted with two goals.

Man-of-the-match David Beckham is now 2/7 to make it to South Africa. Beckham is set to head back to AC Milan in January and Sky Bet go 7/2 that he becomes England's most capped player by surpassing Peter Shilton's 125 appearances.

Gabriel Agbonlahor, who was substituted in the second half, is out to 11/10 (from even money) to feature in Capello's 23.

Sky Bet's football betting spokeswoman Helen Jacob said: "Crouch's impressive display last night now probably puts him ahead of the likes of Gabby Agbonlahor and Carlton Cole. As for Beckham, we were already a short price about him making the squad and barring injury it seems very unlikely that he will miss out."

Argentina 4/1 to go out at Group Stage

Argentina booked their place in the 2010 World Cup with a narrow win over Uruguay on Wednesday and Sky Bet have opened betting on how far they will progress in South Africa. It's 4/1 that Maradona's men, who finished fourth in South America with 28 points, are eliminated at the next group stage. Sky Bet go 5/2 that they go no further than the last 16 and 5/2 that they are knocked out in the quarter-finals as they were in the last World Cup in Germany.

The Albicelestes are 9/1 to lift the World Cup for the third time and 8/1 to be beaten in the final.

Manager Diego Maradona has been under pressure throughout Argentina's stuttering qualifying campaign and Sky Bet make him 4/7 to lead the team into the finals next summer.

Sky Bet's football betting spokesman Mike Triffitt said: "Despite his achievement in guiding Argentina to the World Cup finals, there still seems to be some uncertainty about his future as manager, with Maradona himself not 100% that he will still be at the helm for the finals."

New Crusade for Henson?

Speculation continues over the future of injury-dogged Gavin Henson, who is currently on unpaid leave from the Ospreys and Sky Bet go 5/1 that he switches codes and joins Celtic Crusaders after new coach Brian Noble claimed he would welcome any union starts to the club.

Sky Bet's rugby union betting expert Simon McMinn said: "Noone seems to know what Henson's intentions are but with a big name coach in Brian Noble now at the helm at the Crusaders, Henson may be tempted to try his luck at league with a club whose profile has been now been raised."

Button 2/5 to clinch title in Brazil

Just two races of the Formula One season remain and Sky Bet make Jenson Button, who is 14 points clear in the standings, 2/5 to clinch the Drivers' Championship this weekend in Brazil. A third place finish at Interlagos would guarantee Button his maiden world title and he is 11/4 to finish on the podium.

Button's team-mate Rubens Barrichello is still in the hunt for the Drivers' Championship and is 8/1 with Sky Bet to win his home grand prix this weekend. Sky Bet make him 16/1 to win the title in Abu Dhabi.

Rain is expected at Interlagos, which could favour wet-weather specialist Sebastian Vettel, who is 9/4 favourite to take the chequered flag. Following Vettel's victory at Suzuka, Red Bull will be hoping he takes his winning form into the final two races and Sky Bet make the 22-year-old German 10/1 to snatch the world crown from Button at the season finale in Abu Dhabi.

Sky Bet go 7/4 that the champion is crowned in Abu Dhabi.
