Backe new favourite in Notts County manager betting
Sky Bet reports an astonishing gamble on Hans Backe in their next Notts County manager betting. The former Mexico and Manchester City assistant manager has been backed down from 33/1 to odds-on in under an hour to succeed Ian McParland at Meadow Lane.
Who will take the reins at Notts County?
After Sky Bet added him into the betting at 33/1 earlier this afternoon, the gamble on Backe, who has worked alongside fellow Swede Sven-Goran Eriksson at Manchester City and in Mexico, has quickly gathered momentum. Backe is also considered a frontrunner to succeed Lars Lagerback as manager of Sweden.
Sky Bet's football betting spokesman Mike Triffitt said: "Although it's not unusual to see gambles of this nature in manager markets, the pace of this one has been surprising as Backe hadn't even been touted as a contender for the Notts County job.
"Customers are snapping up any price we put up about him taking over at Meadow Lane."

Pompey 5/2 to reach 10 points before Hull
It's a relegation six-pointer this weekend when Hull host bottom of the table Portsmouth at the KC Stadium and Sky Bet are offering 7/4 for Paul Hart's side to secure only their second win of the season (6/4 Hull & 12/5 Draw). It's 11/10 for the south coast side to record less than 32.5 points in the season with the Tigers 5/6 to also record under 32.5 points.
Hull, who narrowly missed out on relegation last season, are 2/5 to be relegated and its 11/8 they go on to finish bottom of the table. Portsmouth, who have had their worst ever start to life in the Barclays Premier, are 1/2 to be relegated and 13/8 to finish bottom.

This weekend sees a mixture of derby matches and some very closely contested games so the quote of 28.5 maybe a little too high."

BNP 9/2 to win a seat at the next General Election
Following Nick Griffin's appearance on last night's Question Time, Sky Bet are offering odds on, will the BNP gain a seat at the next General Election. The BNP won both the North West region and also the Yorkshire and Humber area in the European elections earlier this year and it's 9/2 they go on to win a seat at the next General Election. It's 1/8 Nick Griffin and his party don't win a seat.
