Coppell 4/1 favourite for next Peterborough manager
Following news that Darren Ferguson has parted company with Peterborough United, Sky Bet have unveiled their next Peterborough manager betting, installing former Reading boss Steve Coppell as 4/1 favourite.
Steve Coppell is favourite to succeed Darren Ferguson at London Road.
The former England Under 21, Leicester and Hull manager Peter Taylor, is Sky Bet's 5/1 second favourite to succeed Ferguson, while Chris Wilder, manager of table-topping Blue Square Premier outfit Oxford United, is 7/1 third favourite.
Sky Bet's football betting spokesman Richard Browning said: "Steve Coppell ruled himself out of becoming next manager of Brighton last week but this higher profile job at Peterborough may tempt him back into football."
Ferguson led Posh to back-to-back promotions during his first two full seasons at London Road but Peterborough are now propping up the rest of the Championship after a disappointing start to the season has seen them record just two wins. Peterborough are 10/11 to be relegated this season and 15/8 to finish bottom.

Nicholls 10/3 to end Paddy Power jinx
Paul Nicholls is 10/3 with Sky Bet to saddle the winner of the Paddy Power Gold Cup for the first time at Cheltenham on Saturday.
The Champion trainer has never won the 2m5f contest in all its various guises, but he looks to hold particularly strong hand this year with three of the first four in the betting at the six-day stage.
Nicholls's trio is headed by second season novice and Jewson winner Chapoturgeon, who shares favouritism in Sky Bet's book with the Alan King-trained Tarotino.
Poquelin and Tatenen are next best in the betting from the Ditcheat yard at 7/1 and 8/1 respectively with Sky Bet, who are quoting 33/1 for Nicholls to saddle a 1-2 in one of the few big races to elude him.
Matt Doyle of Sky Bet said: 'The race is proving to be Nicholls' bęte noir as he has sent out the beaten favourite two years running and suffered terrible misfortune in the 2007 renewal when his Granit Jack fell two out and was fatally injured after travelling like the winner.'

Liverpool 7/1 not to record a victory in November
Last night saw the pressure increase on the Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez after his side were held to a 2-2 draw by Birmingham City. The Reds, who have won only one of their last nine matches in all competitions, when they overcame Manchester United at the end of October, are 7/1 with Sky Bet to fail to record a victory in November.
It's 1/7 that Liverpool fail to win any silverware this season (4/1 to win a trophy) and it's 6/1 for Liverpool to be eliminated from the Champions League but go on to lift the Europa Cup.
Sky Bet's Tim Reynolds said: "Things aren't getting any easier for Rafa Benitez following the news that both Yossi Benayoun and Albert Riera will be out for at least a month after picking up injuries last night.
"If Torres and Gerrard aren't back fully fit soon, Liverpool could easily find themselves without a win in November and eliminated from the Champions League."
The result leaves struggling Liverpool seventh in the Barclays Premier on 19 points, 11 points behind leaders Chelsea. Sky Bet are offering 4/5 that Liverpool fail to finish in the top four of the Barclays Premier for the first time since the 2004/05 season. It's 7/4 that the Reds finish the season in 4th place, 6/1 3rd place, 14/1 2nd place and it's 28/1 that Liverpool manage to turn their season around and lift the Premier league title.
With the Liverpool faithful calling for Benitez's resignation it's evens that the Spaniard does not last the season (8/11 last the season) and 4/1 he's the next top flight manager to leave.

India 4/6 to save some pride
Tomorrow sees the final one day international between India and Australia, live on Sky Sports 1 from 9:00am and Sky Bet are offering 6/5 for Australia to heap yet more misery onto India by winning their fourth consecutive ODI. After failing to win the 6th ODI, which in turn lost them the series, India are 4/6 to save some pride and take the final ODI.
Sky Bet's Tim Reynolds said: "India have been very disappointing this series against an injury-torn Australian side. They have shown moments of brilliance but will be very disappointed to lose a second series on home soil to Australia. They have one more chance to save some pride and should prove too strong for Australia, who will be fielding a weakened side."
Sachin Tendulkar, who is averaging 45.83 runs from his 6 innings so far, is 5/6 to outscore the Australian captain Ricky Ponting tomorrow and it's 11/4 for the Little Master to be India's top batsman in the final ODI. It's 4/5 for Virender Sehwag to outscore Shaun Marsh (10/11) and 5/6 for the Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh to outscore Cameron White (5/6).
After hitting 26 sixes so far in the series India are evens to hit the most sixes tomorrow (5/4 Australia & 5/1 Tie). It's 4/5 for the Indian openers to have the highest opening partnership (10/11 Australia & 20/1 Tie) and evens for two or more batsmen get run-out in the match.

Eddie Howe new favourite for Posh job
AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has emerged as clear 4/6 favourite in Sky Bet's next Peterborough manager betting after a run of bets today on the youngest manager in the English Football League.
This morning, Sky Bet installed Howe as a 6/1 chance to succeed Darren Ferguson at London Road and the 31-year-old has since been backed down to odds-on.
Sky Bet's football betting spokeswoman Helen Jacob said: "Last season Howe led the Cherries out of the relegation zone despite their 17-point deficit and he continues in winning ways this season, making a record breaking start to their league campaign.
"There are whispers that he is the man that Peterborough want to succeed Ferguson."
