Saints 9/1 to defend their Super Bowl title

Following the New Orleans Saints 31-17 victory over the Indianapolis Colts to claim Super Bowl XLIV, Sky Bet are offering 9/1 for the Saints to successfully defend their title. The Colts, who went into this year's Super Bowl with high expectations, are 8/1 to go one better next year with the San Diego Chargers 10/1 and New England Patriots 12/1.

Can the Saints defend their Super Bowl title?

Wembley bound San Francisco 49ers are 40/1 to grab their first Super Bowl in 16 years and their opponents at Wembley, the Denver Broncos, who started this season strongly, but blew a 6-0 winning start to the season and missed the playoffs, are 50/1.

Sky Bet's NFL spokesman Ben Wright said: "Looking at next year's potential winners, Indianapolis and New Orleans look the teams to beat once again. A team we are keen to oppose is the New England Patriots, whose years of dominating the league seem to be over. The NY Jets and Miami have reduced the gap in quality in their division, so the Patriots face a battle to even reach the playoffs."

Liverpool's odds cut to 5/6 for top 4 finish

Following Liverpool's 1-0 victory over rivals Everton on Saturday, to take them into the top 4 of the Premier League, Sky Bet have cut Liverpool's odds of finishing in the top 4 from 7/4 into 5/6. Tottenham, who are 1 point behind Benitez's men in 5th are 4/1 to finish in the top 4 and Manchester City, who are 2 points behind Tottenham with 2 games in hand are 6/5.

Sky Bet's football betting spokesman Tim Reynolds said: "Liverpool have really turned their season around and have gained 17 points from a possible 21 in their last seven league matches. Benitez has told everyone Liverpool will finish in the top 4 and at the moment his prediction is looking spot on."

Chelsea's odd cut for Premiership title

Sky Bet have cut Chelsea's odds of claiming the Premier League title from 4/5 to 8/13 following their 2-0 victory over bitter rivals Arsenal. Manchester United, who handed bottom of the table Portsmouth a 5-0 drubbing, are 11/8 to defend their crown and Arsenal, who are now 9 points adrift of Chelsea are 16/1 (from 10/1).

Sky Bet's football betting spokesman Tim Reynolds said: "After this weekend's results it now looks a two horse race. Manchester United host Chelsea at the beginning of April and that single fixture could decide the title."

At the other end of the table, Portsmouth are 1/10 to be relegated with Wolves, who are now 1 point adrift of safety 8/13 (from 8/11). West Ham, who make up the bottom three along with Pompey and Wolves are 3/1 to be relegated.

England 10/1 to win all 2012 Euro Qualifying matches.

Following the draw for the 2012 European Championships, Sky Bet are offering 9/1 for England to go on and lift their first ever European title. England, who are drawn along side Wales, Switzerland, Bulgaria and Montenegro in Group G, are 10/1 to win all their qualifying matches and 6/4 to be undefeated in qualifying. It's 40/1 for the Three Lions to win both the 2010 World Cup and 2012 Euros.

Spain are the 9/2 favourites to successfully defend their title with Italy, who last tasted European glory in 1968 next best at 13/2.

Sky Bet's football betting spokesman Tim Reynolds said: "After being handed a favourable draw for 2012 European Championship, I'm sure Capello will expect nothing less than qualification and probably a place in the final."
