Ribéry odds-on to join Real Madrid

Franck Ribéry has confirmed that Real Madrid, Barcelona and Chelsea are vying for his signature and Sky Bet are offering odds on which club Ribéry will be playing for after the summer transfer window.

Ribéry claims that he will decide on his future in the next three weeks and Sky Bet make it 4/6 favourite that the French superstar joins Real Madrid after being linked with the club last summer.

It's 3/1 that the 26-year-old midfielder joins Barcelona, although he hasn't ruled out staying with Bayern Munich, who are looking for him to sign an extension to his current contract which expires next June.

Chelsea are 10/1 to secure his services, while a move to Manchester United, who were strongly linked with him last summer following the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, is also a 10/1 chance.

Sky Bet's football betting spokeswoman Helen Jacob said: "Ribéry's decision to stay at Bayern Munich last summer disappointed hundreds of customers who had backed him to go to Real Madrid but it looks likely now that the move to the Bernabeu will go ahead this year."

Sky Bet 2010 Formula 1 betting specials

Sky Bet have produced a vast range of Formula One betting markets ahead of this weekend's season-opening Grand Prix in Bahrain.

This season sees a host of new faces as well as the return of some older ones and Sky Bet go 4/9 that the 2010 Drivers' Championship is claimed by one of the four former winners and 13/8 that a new champion is crowned.

Seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher returns to the sport this season following a three-year absence and Sky Bet make him a 2/9 chance to win at least one race, 5/1 to win most races and 7/1 to record most pole positions. He is 5/1 to be crowned world champion for the eighth time.

Sky Bet's Formula One betting expert Dave Pilgrim said: "It's all shaping up to be a terrific season and we really are having to employ plenty of guestimates this time around with pre-season testing offering hope to numerous drivers, but nothing concrete standing out above the field. I can't wait to see how Michael Schumacher fares on his return to the sport."

F1's two most recent champions Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton are gearing up for their first GP as team-mates and Sky Bet make McLaren 9/4 second favourites behind Ferrari (7/4) to take the Constructors' title. The season-opener in Bahrain will provide an insight into whether Button is set to mount a challenge against Hamilton, who is 1/3 favourite to collect more points this season (Button 9/4).

Tricast betting on the Drivers' Championship is also available and Sky Bet go 50/1 for a Hamilton, Button, Alonso 1-2-3 this season. Sky Bet expect Ferrari duo Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa both to finish the season in the top three of the standings and make a Hamilton, Alonso, Massa top trio favourite at 28/1.

Premier League Betting 18th place 10/11 to accumulate 34 points or fewer

This season's relegation battle in the Premier League is the closest it has been for years with 14th to 19th place all covered by just four points. Sky Bet are offering a special relegation betting market on how many points will 18th place obtain and make 35 or more points the 4/5 favourite. It's 10/11 that the team finishing in 18th accumulates 34 points or fewer.

With Portsmouth looking certain to be relegated, Burnley, who are currently in 19th position on 23 points are the 2/7 favourites to be relegated. Hull, who sit one place above Burnley on 24 points, are 4/5 for the drop with Wolves also on 24 points at 11/8. Wigan, who sit two places above the relegation zone but only a point more than Hull are 4/1.

Sky Bet's football betting spokesman Tim Reynolds said: "Last season saw Newcastle finish in 18th with just 34 points and with just nine matches still to play Hull, who are currently 18th would need a few results to go their way if they are going to finish this season with over 35 points."

Arsenal 28/1 to qualify via a penalty shoot-out

The 2nd leg of the of the Champions League last 16 stage gets underway tomorrow and all eyes will be on Arsenal who must overcome a goal deficit at the Emirates. Arsenal are 4/6 to qualify in 90 minutes and it's 28/1 they qualify via a penalty shoot-out. It's 16/1 that Arsenal qualify in extra time.

With three English sides still left in Europe's elite competition, it's 6/4 that one of the three sides goes on to lift the title. It's 5/4 for a Spanish side to lift the Champions League trophy and 9/1 an Italian club. It's 10/3 that the final at the Bernabéu is an all-English affair.

Sky Bet's football betting spokesman Tim Reynolds said: "Porto have never won away to English opposition in Europe and with Arsenal being unbeaten at the Emirates in the Champions League this season, manager Arsene Wenger will be confident that his side can progress."
