Alan Curbishley cut to 3/1 in next Aston Villa manager betting
Sky Bet have cut Alan Curbishley's odds to 3/1 (from 11/1) in their next Aston Villa manager betting following the news that the 52-year-old has met with Villa owner Randy Lerner and chief executive Paul Faulkner about the vacant position.
Curbishley backed for vacant Villa Post
Current caretaker manager Kevin Macdonald is still the 6/5 favourite. Alex McLeish, who is struggling to reach a new contract agreement with Birmingham City, is 12/1.
Sky Bet's Tim Reynolds said: "Since the news broke that Curbishley has been interviewed for the vacant Villa post, he's the only person we've seen money for this morning. Villa owner Randy Lerner said that he wants a manager with Premier League experience and with Curbishley having spent time with both Charlton Athletic and West Ham, he will certainly bring that to the table."

Sky Bet are also offering 6/1 that Van Der Vaart will be booked on his debut and it's 40/1 for him to see red on his first appearance for Harry Redknapp's men.
It's 33/1 with the online betting company that the Dutch midfielder goes on to net the PFA Player of the Year award in his first season.

Alex McLeish 6/4 not to see out the 2010/11 season at St Andrews
Alex McLeish is 6/4 with Sky Bet not to see out the 2010/11 season at St Andrews following the news that the 51 year-old has stalled on signing a new deal with Birmingham City. It's understood that the Blues are keen to offer McLeish a new deal after guiding them to ninth spot last season but the former Rangers and Scotland boss is asking for too much money.
1/2 is on offer for the Scotsman to see out the season with his current club.
The news has also led to McLeish's odds to be cut to 12/1 (from 20/1) to be the next Aston Villa manager.
Sky Bet's Tim Reynolds said: "McLeish has done a great job with Birmingham City, guiding them to promotion from the Championship and then a top 10 finish in the Premier League the following season so it would be a surprise to see the midlands club let the 51 year-old go."
