Orr or nothing

Stevo expects Leeds to see of Quins

Stevo Posted 13th June 2008 view comments

If Harlequins have any chance of beating Leeds they have to look back at their Challenge Cup tie with the Rhinos.

They had every chance to win that game and it was only a heroic effort from Jamie Peacock that turned it the Rhinos way.

Quins coach Brian McDermott and the players will feel confident that they can match Leeds even though they do have a few injury problems.

Can Orr lead Quins to victory?

Can Orr lead Quins to victory?

Leeds were a little bit slow against Hull, and Hull showed if you get into their faces, they can be stopped.

Danny Orr is the man who can orchestrate things for Quins. Orr has been in superb form. He struggled when he went from Castleford to Wigan where he did not settle with the Warriors. It was a bit of surprise when he came down to London, but since he has been at Quins he has been in sublime form.

He has a wonderful pair of hands as well as the pace to get him to the line. He knows how to create things for his side, and Quins will rely on him to make things happen.

Quotes of the week

Harlequins v Leeds
5pm, Saturday, Sky Sports 1

He has a wonderful pair of hands as well as the pace to get him to the line. He knows how to create things for his side, and Quins will rely on him to make things happen.

It is certainly going to be tough against table toppers Leeds who are playing with such confidence.

Their support play is just unbelievable at the moment. It will be a big game for Jamie Peacock who has been in great form. Peacock does not say a lot, but what he does on the field is sufficient.

One look from him and you know you have let him down. He has been voted as the best forward in the world and you can not beat that.

Scott Donald is another player who is in the form of his life. He struggled to fit into the Leeds style of play when he first came, but boy has he hit the straps in style. The try he scored against Hull was classified as one of the best tries ever seen at Headingley.

Danny McGuire and Rob Burrow at halfback are creating all sorts of opportunity and I keep on asking who is going to stop them?

Stevo says

Leeds win: Although Harlequins will know they can match Leeds after that Challenge Cup game, knowing and doing are poles apart. The likes of McGuire, Burrows and the very impressive Brent Webb will be too much for the Harlequins outfit. Throw in Jamie Peaccock leading from the front and I think it is going to be a tough day at the office for gutsy Quins.
