Robins to run out of steam says Stevo

Huddersfield will be bitterly disappointed with their exit from the Challenge Cup at the hands of Castleford. Not surprisingly Danny Brough was not at his best for Huddersfield in that game and I think he came back a bit too quickly from his injury.

However Brough is a very tough customer and he will bounce back - he has all the qualities of a world class player and if he clicks then Hull KR will struggle.

Hull KR really have to win - they are another club that have a rough run-in and it is not going to be easy for them. That 54-6 loss in the Challenge Cup to St Helens would have been extremely painful and it is going to be interesting to see how they bounce back. I am not sure what the spirits are like in their camp - there is talk of coach leaving and going to Castleford and things like that can really unsettle a team.

Will Brough fire for Giants?

Will Brough fire for Giants?

They certainly have their danger men though - Kris Welham is in fine form and for a man who is playing in a team outside the top eight to be the leading try scorer gives you some indication of how good a finisher he is.

There forwards also like to have a go with the likes of Liam Watts, Ben Galea and Clint Newton. The only problem I have with them is that they might be getting on a bit now - there are some real hard grafters in there with some great quality, but that last twenty minutes is really telling. I don't think people realise that when you get older that last quarter is really hard to get through.

So I expect them to try and upset Huddersfield early on. They will try and get into them from the get go and then hold on for dear life.

STAR MAN

Danny Brough is the man Hull KR have to stop. I expect the centres to come in on the angle to either force Brough to panic kick or herd him back down the middle. There are plenty of big boys who will be waiting to pick him up and dump him. They know he has just come back from injury - there is nothing malicious about it, they just want to test it out.

STEVO SAYS

This is the big home coming game for Huddersfield as the return to the Galpharm Stadium. I expect the fans to come out in force and I think that will be enough to give the giants the edge.
