Bumble's World Twenty20 preview

David Lloyd is Sky Sports' 'Mr Twenty20' so who better to pick out the men to watch in South Africa?

We asked Bumble, who is part of the Sky Sports team bringing you every game live over the next fortnight, to single out the players he thinks will be the stars of the show.

Symonds: Best in the world

Symonds: Best in the world

Not surprisingly he expects batsmen to dominate...

Andrew Symonds (Australia)

International Twenty20 career

Pld:4 Ave: 62.50 HS: 54* Wkts: 7 Ave: 13.85 Best: 2/14

Probably the best one-day cricketer in the world. He will field like a demon - nothing gets past him in the covers.

He is always worth a couple of wickets with his mixture of seam-up, little away-swingers, slower-balls and off-cutters. He is an under-rated bowler in one-day cricket.

And when he has a bat in his hands there isn't a cricket ground big enough for him. He is the complete Twenty20 cricketer. He is a colossus is that lad.

Luke Wright (England)

International Twenty20 career

N/A

I can't believe what I saw at the Oval on his one-day international debut against India.

What a fantastic innings of 50 from just 39 deliveries!

He will be the revelation of the tournament. I haven't been this excited by a young England player since Andrew Flintoff.

Dwayne Bravo (West Indies)

International Twenty20 career

Pld:3 Ave: 20 HS: 19* Wkts: 0 Ave: 2.00 Best: 2/16

It's time for him to come into his own and I can see him having a big influence on how well the West Indies perform, in a similar way to Symonds and Australia.

He's a fine all-rounder - a canny bowler who has a deceptive change of pace. He is really athletic in the field also.

He is a bit inconsistent with the bat but has the capabilities of knocking match-winning innings.

Justin Kemp (South Africa)

International Twenty20 career

Pld:3 Ave: 15.00 HS: 22 Wkts: 0 Ave: - Best: -

He walks out to bat looking like Goliath.

He has the attitude that he doesn't care where he is batting he will try and hit the ball out of the park at any given opportunity.

He just launches the ball into orbit. He will be a brilliant player for the home nation in this tournament.

Mahendra Dhoni (India)

International Twenty20 career

Pld:1 Ave: - HS: - Wkts: 0 Ave: - Best: -

He changes games. When he comes in he is a player you want to see the back of straight away.

He has a great strike rate. When he is in the mood he can take on any attack.

I warn you, just watch carefully if you're in the crowd and he's batting.

Lasith Malinga (Sri Lanka)

International Twenty20 career

Pld:2 Ave: 20.00 HS: 22 Wkts: 0 Ave: - Best: -

There aren't many bowlers in there as I have always said that Twenty20 cricket is a batters' game.

But just for the record, I think the leading bowler will be Lasith Malinga.

If any bowler can get through their four overs having only gone for six or seven an over they might win the game for their team and I do think Malinga will be number one with the ball.
