From Harry Redknapp's dramatic exit from Portsmouth to the incredible 143rd North London derby, it's been an amazing week to be involved at Sky Sports News - and there's another brilliant weekend of sport ahead.
Premier League
Chelsea may have missed out on topping the table after ten games but I remain confident they will win the Premier League and should have few problems getting back to winning ways at against Sunderland at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
Pietersen: 3/1 to be England's top scorer at Sky Bet
The Blues have won the previous seven meetings and the last Sunderland player to even score at Stamford Bridge was Kevin Phillips in March 2001.
When Everton play Fulham the golden punting rule is to back the home side!
Amazingly, the home side has a 100% record in this Premier League fixture, winning all 14 games. The last away side to win this clash was Everton at Craven Cottage in August 1966.
Everton have never lost a league game at home to Fulham (20 meetings, 16 wins), have started to improve since David Moyes signed his new deal and will be buoyed by Wednesday's late win at Bolton.
They look good things at 4/6 but there will be many other opportunities to get with Everton as the game is on Sky Bet Live at lunchtime. For example, Everton to win to nil at 7-4 appeals as does 1-0 to the home side at 6/1.
Many will have Middlesbrough down as bankers at even money to beat West Ham after Boro eased past Man City on Wednesday and West Ham crashed to a fourth straight defeat.
However, I'm told the players are loving life under Gianfranco Zola and it's just a matter of time before they turn the corner. Add to that West Ham's recent record against Middlesbrough - they've won the last three meetings and seven of the last ten - plus Boro's unpredictability and 3/1 about the visitors looks too big to me.
Game of the day is Totttenham against Liverpool. All the stats point to a Liverpool win as they've won four of the last five meetings, are unbeaten in the last ten and Tottenham have only beaten them once in nearly seven years - 2-1 at White Hart Lane in January 2004. Then again, who would bet against Harry Redknapp right now...?
Cricket
Sir Allen Stanford and his Super Series have taken plenty of criticism this week but I guarantee you those critics will still tune in to Sky Sports 1 on Saturday to watch what's going to be a unique occasion with life-changing amounts of money at stake.
The sadness for me is that the pitch is so poor that we've seen tense, low scoring matches rather than the run-fests that Stanford would have envisaged.
It's going to be tight and tense again on Saturday (England 8/13, Stanford Super Stars 6/5) and I think it's impossible to choose between the two sides. I do think Keven Pietersen is worth a bet at 3/1 with Sky Bet to be England's top scorer as he's the one player who's looked comfortable on the sticky pitch and is guaranteed to hold his nerve and thrive on the occasion.
Rugby League
As I said last week, I think Australia will play England in the World Cup final and therefore we're in for an early treat when the two sides meet live on Sky Sports on Sunday morning.
Australia looked good when beating New Zealand 30-6 last weekend but I think the Kiwis are a modest outfit and the hosts are in for a much stiffer test on Sunday.
England were rusty and unconvincing against PNG but are guaranteed to improve for the outing. I think they are good enough to give Australia a fright, and certainly good enough to get within the generous 14pt handicap chalked up by Sky Bet.
Horse Racing
After all the superb racing last weekend it's much more low key this time around, with the Charlie Hall at Wetherby failing to attract any future stars.
In contrast, in just two weeks' time we'll be on the eve of three of the best days of the season at Cheltenham and I think now is the best time for a our first ante-post bet of the National Hunt season.
The Paddy Power Gold Cup is one of my favourite races and I always look for an improving second season chaser, with course form and a top trainer.
The Queen's Barbers Shop fits the bill perfectly after he ran a fine second in the Jewson at the Festival, is open to plenty of improvement as is trained by Nicky Henderson, who is superb at lining horses up for big handicaps. Sky Bet offers 12/1 about Barbers Shop, which makes plenty of appeal and I predict a Royal winner of the season's first big race.
