Sea Of Class bids for a second successive Listed victory when she lines-up for the Johnnie Lewis Memorial British EBF Stakes at Newbury on Thursday.
The daughter of Sea The Stars opened her account over a mile and a quarter at the Berkshire track last month and became a leading fancy for the Investec Oaks.
However, after much deliberation, trainer William Haggas took her out of the fillies' Classic at Epsom at the final declaration stage to wait for this race, registered as the Abingdon Stakes.
"Sea Of Class is fine," said Haggas.
"I wanted to keep her at a mile and a quarter for her next run, so that is what we are doing.
"She has a small penalty to carry on Thursday, but she is doing very well and I hope she will run a good race."
Haggas also saddles Dramatic Queen, who makes her seasonal debut after getting off the mark on her second start as as a two-year-old.
"Dramatic Queen wants a bit of dig in ground and will need her first run," said the Newmarket handler.
"She is a lovely filly, but she is a bit rusty and needs to get on now, which is why she is running as well."
Princess Yaiza is the sole Irish contender and Gavin Cromwell's charge makes her second trip across the Irish Sea this season after finishing third in the Cheshire Oaks on the Roodee last month.
She looked like being second to Magic Wand until being run out of that place close home by Forever Together, who went on to win the Oaks.
"She came out of Chester well. She's in good nick and I'm expecting a big run," said Cromwell.
The Chester race was over one mile, three and a half furlongs and the County Meath trainer is not worried about the distance.
"She won over seven furlongs as a two-year-old so the trip won't be a problem," he said.
The Andrew Balding-trained Shailene, who was fourth in the Cheshire Oaks, takes her chance while Daddies Girl, Herecomesthesun, Mrs Sippy and Rasima make up the eight-strong field.
