Prominent owner Henry Ponsonby will be represented by First Mohican and Who Dares Wins in the 188Bet Chester Cup on Wednesday.

Both horses are trained by Alan King and feature amongst 17 runners in the big race on the first day of the May meeting at Chester.

Nine-year-old First Mohican has been kept busy on the all-weather this winter and will be ridden by Hollie Doyle, while Who Dares Wins is the mount of Tom Marquand and returns from a profitable spell over hurdles.

Ponsonby said: "Who Dares Wins had a light season on the Flat last year, running just three times, but was useful again over hurdles when winning the Gerry Feilden at Newbury and finishing third in the Coral Cup at the Cheltenham Festival.

"The Chester Cup has been a target for both these horses for some time."

Who Dares Wins fared better than First Mohican in the draw, with pair handed seven and 17 respectively.

Ryan Moore teams up with Tony Martin to ride Golden Spear but the jockey will have to be at his best to chart a passage from stall 12.
