Nyaleti could bid for Rockfel Stakes redemption

Nyaleti may attempt to redeem her reputation in the Shadwell Rockfel Stakes at Newmarket on September 29 after disappointing in the Prix Morny at Deauville.
The Mark Johnston-trained filly had gone to France in search of Group One honours on the back of a convincing victory in the Princess Margaret Stakes at Ascot only to fade into sixth place behind Unfortunately.
"She looks great. I like to think there might have been one or two factors contributing to her not running so well that day and I think she'll bounce back," Johnston's wife and assistant, Deirdre, told At The Races.
"She's fantastic and was strutting her stuff on Monday morning which was great to see.
"She'll possibly go for the Rockfel and put her back up to seven furlongs. Hopefully you'll see her back out there."
The original plan had been for Nyaleti to go for the Lowther Stakes, but Threading went in her place after being supplemented and duly obliged with victory in the Group Two at York last week and she has now earned a chance at Group One level.
"She is a very exciting filly for the future. Let's hope she goes for the Cheveley Park," she said.
Dream Today was another two-year-old from the Johnston stable to sparkle on the Knavesmire with a highly-promising debut success in the Convivial Maiden Stakes.
He holds an engagement in the Solario Stakes at Sandown on Saturday but might wait for the Champagne Stakes at Doncaster two weeks later.
"He's absolutely fantastic. He only lost two kilos for that race," said Mrs Johnston.
"He's in the Champagne Stakes. We have put in an entry on Saturday in the Group Three (Solario) but I think that's just a tentative one really. He is in the big sales race but I'd love to think we might head for the Champagne."
