Nicky Henderson has not yet decided whether to let Thomas Campbell make a swift return to action in the Betfair Stayers' Handicap Hurdle at Haydock on Saturday.

Having made an impressive start to his campaign at Cheltenham in October, the five-year-old was heavily backed on his return to Prestbury Park last Saturday and claimed a decisive success in the hands of 7lb claimer James Bowen.

The handicapper has reacted by handing him a 10lb rise in the weights, but he would only carry a 5lb penalty if he were to run in this weekend's £100,000 contest.

Henderson said: "I've left him in the race on Saturday. He has gone up 10lb and he's got a 5lb penalty.

"I think we are inclined not to go, although it is very tempting.
