The Peterborough Chase has been rescheduled to take place at Taunton on Thursday.

The Grade Two contest was part of Sunday's abandoned Huntingdon fixture, but the British Horseracing Authority has moved quickly to save the feature event.

Stuart Middleton, racing operations manager at the BHA, said: "The Peterborough Chase is a historic and important race, and we are pleased to be able to reschedule it.

"Our thanks go to Taunton for stepping up to stage the race at short notice, and we hope that racegoers, participants and punters all enjoy a fine renewal of a valuable contest."
