David Pipe faces a dilemma after entering Madison Du Berlais in Saturday's Argento Chase.
The Peter Marsh Chase, which was frozen off at Haydock at the weekend, was his intended target and now connections are considering the Prestbury Park feature.
The ten-year-old has failed to win in six previous runs at Cheltenham, finishing fourth behind Taranis in last year's Argento Chase when a leading fancy.
"It's not ideal going back to Cheltenham, but it's hard to find races for him now," the trainer said.
"We would have liked to have gone to Haydock, but we thought it was worth giving him an entry as it's a small field."
Madison Du Berlais is 16-1 with Sky Bet for Saturday's race.
