Hell's Bay has been in good form since beating Medermit

Colin Tizzard is looking forward to running Hell's Bay in the Jewson Novices' Chase at the Cheltenham Festival next month. The Dorset handler believes that his horse should head the ante-post betting for the two-and-a-half-mile contest instead of being a 12-1 chance. Hell's Bay enhanced his Festival claims when beating Medermit in the Dipper on his latest start at Cheltenham on New Year's Day and the runner-up gave that form a huge boost when winning the Grade One Scilly Isles Novices' Chase at Sandown on Saturday. "I think he should be favourite. He's going straight for the Jewson," said Tizzard. "He goes well fresh this horse so we are purposely going to wait until the Festival with him. He's been brilliant."

Cue target?

Tizzard also reported Cue Card's preparation for Cheltenham had stepped up a gear. Last season's Weatherbys Champion Bumper victor is set to run on the opening day of the Festival in either the Stan James Supreme Novices' Hurdle or the Stan James Champion Hurdle. "He's just started his fast work now and he's well on course for the Supreme or the Champion - one of them," he added.
