Cheltenham Festival winner Divers is on course for next month's Paddy Power Gold Cup at Prestbury Park.
The Middleham trainer intends giving his progressive seven-year-old, a winner at the Festival in March, a prep run at Carlisle on October 30.
He said: "Divers will go for the Colin Parker Memorial Intermediate Chase at Carlisle before running in the Paddy Power Gold Cup. He's well and training well at home.
"He worked last week and it went reasonably well with Graham Lee coming up. He went up the five-furlong gallop twice.
"He looks great, but I wouldn't want to go to the Paddy Power without a run beforehand as most of mine have been coming on for their first run."
Divers is a 12-1 chance with the sponsors for the big Cheltenham race on November 12.
