Bell duo will be trained for Meydan prizes

Wigmore Hall and Margot Did will be trained for races in Dubai in the spring following a well-earned rest for the Michael Bell-trained pair. Wigmore Hall, winner of the Grade One Northern Dancer Turf Stakes in Canada last month, had no luck in the Champion Stakes at Ascot. He is to be aimed at the Jebel Hatta and the Dubai Duty Free at Meydan, which he won and was third in respectively this year. "He's fine. He's about to go on holiday and is going to have a month in a paddock and then come back and be prepared for the Jebel Hatta and the Dubai Duty Free," said Bell. "It will be the same programme as last year." Margot Did, who landed the Group One Nunthorpe Stakes at York in August, cut no ice in the Prix de l'Abbaye on her final start this season. Her first big target of the next campaign is the Al Quoz Sprint on the same card as the Dubai World Cup. "She is turned out at the moment and is having a holiday," Bell went on. "She is going to come back in and hopefully she will go out to Dubai for the Al Quoz Sprint on World Cup night."
