Ivory charge given winter break

Dean Ivory is resisting the temptation to run Sirius Prospect abroad during the winter and will aim his progressive sprinter at Ascot next season instead. The three-year-old gelding made massive strides in the latter part of the season, winning his last four races in the style of an improving sprinter, ending with a Listed success at Doncaster. "He's just having an easy time at the moment. He's a horse who likes to stay busy and active so we're just having to change the routine with him," said the Radlett trainer. "He's not going to Dubai or anything. We'll just look after him and maybe take him to Ascot at the start of next season."
