Owner Graham Wylie has his eyes on more Cheltenham Festival glory with Boston Bob following his impressive Grade One victory at Navan on Sunday.
Wylie is no stranger to Festival success having seen triple World Hurdle winner Inglis Drever carry his silks up the famous hill, while Arcalis and No Refuge are others to have struck gold at Prestbury Park.
The Willie Mullins-trained Boston Bob confirmed the promise of his winning Irish debut when following up in brilliant style in the Navan Novice Hurdle at the weekend and Wylie hopes the six-year-old can take him back into the big time.
"I was delighted with him on Sunday. He had only won a very small race on his first start in Ireland and it was a big step up for him to go for a Grade One," said Wylie.
"Willie said to me he really liked him at home and it was a really good performance from him. Originally we thought he might be a big, backward chasing type, but Willie says he shows plenty of speed at home.
"We'll make a little plan for him now, but we hope he'll be at Cheltenham in March. Willie will decide which path he takes to get there.
"He'll be entered in the two-and-a-half mile race (Neptune) and the three-mile race (Albert Bartlett) and Willie will decide nearer the time which race he'll go for.
"It's just great to have a horse good enough to go to Cheltenham and he's proved that he is."
