Trainer Victor Dartnall intends to keep Roudoudou Ville under wraps until the Cheltenham Festival comes around in March.
The Devon trainer has the Byrne Group Plate in mind for the seven-year-old, following his narrow defeat at the Prestbury Park track last month.
Roudoudou Ville led over the final fence in the Spinal Research The Atlantic 4 Gold Cup only to be collared in the dying strides and take third place behind Quantitativeeasing and Medermit.
"It's likely we'll wait for the Byrne Group Plate at Cheltenham," said Dartnall.
"He's in great form, but I don't want to run him and get his mark affected before then.
"He doesn't like the ground too soft, so typical Cheltenham going will be ideal for him.
"At this stage we are hanging on to him and I can't see any reason to run him before then really. He'll have a spring campaign after that."
