Kelleway plots French raid

Gay Kelleway is planning another successful French raid later this month with Swing Alone who goes for a Listed race at Cagnes-sur-Mer. Fifth on his debut in the Chesham Stakes at Ascot before breaking his duck at Wolverhampton, Swing Alone has travelled across the Channel once before, even if he did not make much impression in the Group One Criterium International late last year. Kelleway pocketed a decent prize with Uphold at Deauville early last month and has her eyes on the Prix de la Californie in a rather warmer part of the country. "Swing Alone is going to run in a Listed race on February 12 at Cagnes-sur-Mer," said the Newmarket trainer. "I've got a couple of boxes in France and it's certainly not as expensive as going to Dubai. It would nice to have another winner over there."
