Connections have supreme faith in the abilities of grey gelding

Connections of Pique Sous believe their grey could develop into a contender for the Supreme Novices' Hurdle at next year's Cheltenham Festival. The Willie Mullins-trained five-year-old has yet to jump a hurdle in public but could not have looked any more stylish in a Bellewstown bumper on Saturday evening. He also finished third in the Champion Bumper at the Cheltenham Festival in March. Jockey Patrick Mullins said: "He did exactly what we thought he would do. "His class got him through as he is really a good-ground horse. "He has got loads of speed and he is probably a Supreme Novices' horse. The sky's the limit for him."
