Evanna McCutcheon has given her star sprinter Maarek several entries in the hope of getting plenty of give in the ground somewhere in about a month's time.
The seven-year-old is a top-notch performer when the mud is flying, as he showed when winning the Prix de l'Abbaye at Longchamp in the autumn.
Winner of the Duke of York Stakes in May, the Pivotal gelding has not raced since finishing second to subsequent Diamond Jubilee hero Slade Power in the Greenlands Stakes at the Curragh later that month.
Races that could come under consideration include the Phoenix Sprint Stakes at the Curragh on August 10, the Coolmore Nunthorpe Stakes at York on August 22 and the Betfred Sprint Cup at Haydock on September 6.
"He's good. He's on a break at the minute and then we'll look at some races in August for him," said County Tipperary-based McCutcheon.
"We'll see where the weather takes us. He's in the Nunthorpe, a race at the Curragh and at Haydock in September as well."
