Wait For Me has been roughed off for the season after running an excellent race to finish third at Cheltenham.

Trainer Philip Hobbs endured a largely disappointing week at Prestbury Park as he failed to visit the winner's enclosure over the four days, but Wait For Me, so impressive on his Ascot debut, was one of the shining lights for the string.

The Somerset handler was also pleased with the performance of the JP McManus-owned If In Doubt, who finished strongly up the hill to place fifth behind Don Poli in the RSA Chase.

"It was disappointing not to have a winner," said Hobbs.
