Space Age is likely to be kept to handicap company for at least one more outing before being stepped up in class following his victory in the King George V Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Having provided trainer Charlie Appleby with his first victory at the meeting, when making all of the running in the mile-and-a-half handicap, plans are now in place for the three-year old to return to the scene of his biggest triumph a week on Friday in a bid to complete a hat-trick of wins this season.
The Newmarket handler said: "We were delighted with Space Age. He was my first Royal Ascot winner and it is a great achievement to get. It was a good team effort.
"Going forward with him, he is still of a rating that we feel that is quite attractive in handicaps, so we will stay with them for the time being.
"We did look at the Gordon Stakes at Goodwood, but with his mark being 96 we still feel we have a bit in hand in handicaps.
"There is a good chance he could run at Ascot next week as there is a 0-105 three-year-old handicap on the Friday which we will take a look at."
While a trip back to Ascot looks likely for Space Age, an outing much closer to home beckons for unbeaten filly Wordcraft.
Appleby said: "Wordcraft will go to the July meeting at Newmarket for a three-year-old handicap.
"I was pleased with her last run because I feel she is better on turf than on a synthetic surface but the race conditions suited her.
"She is potentially one that we will aim to get some black type with in the second half of the season."
