Olympic cycling champion Victoria Pendleton continues her partnership with Royal Etiquette as she bids to go one better on her second competitive start as a jockey at Beverley on Tuesday.

Pendleton, 34, went close to making a winning debut on the Lawney Hill-trained eight-year-old at Ripon last month when she was beaten just a head behind 33-1 chance Jordaura.

The first two renew rivalry in the Betfair Supports Amateur Riders' Handicap on the Westwood with Royal Etiquette having a 2lb pull for that narrow defeat.

A field of 17 has been declared for the 10-furlong event which will be the last of an eight-race card.

The Hill team, based in Oxfordshire, has worked closely with Pendleton since the double Olympic champion embarked on a quest to become an amateur rider earlier this year, with a long-term goal of competing in the Foxhunter Chase at the 2016 Cheltenham Festival.

Pendleton had her first raceday experience in the George Frewer Charity Race at Newbury in July, when she finished eighth aboard the Hill-trained Mighty Mambo.
