CONSTANTINE BAY limbered up for a possible weekend outing with a pleasing workout at Seven Barrows.
The Kayf Tara gelding has shown a liking for plenty of cut in the ground in his two victories for Nicky Henderson at Haydock and Chepstow.
But ahead of Cheltenham, his connections may try him on better conditions that are traditionally on offer at Doncaster in the River Don Novices' Hurdle or opt for the Classic Novices' Hurdle at Prestbury Park.
GAITWAY had his reputation dented when out of the money in what turned out to be a very warm race at Cheltenham.
He has skipped a couple of high-profile engagements subsequently which could well turn out to be a blessing.
He continues to wow in his work and could take in a normal two-mile novice hurdle at Doncaster on Friday.
Entered for the same two-miler is WENYERREADYFREDDIE who is a typical chasing type that Henderson excels with.
He doesn't do anything in a hurry but kept galloping at Newbury last time, suggesting the similarly flat left-handed Town Moor circuit will be his cup of tea.
PREMIER BOND is shaping up into a decent novice chaser and stays particularly well.
He gave as much as he got in his latest piece of stronger work on the Faringdon Road and is in good shape for a three-mile novice chase at Doncaster.
Others to catch the eye with entries on the close horizon were MINSTREL ROYAL and RIVER OF INTRIGUE.
