MIDTERM went under the spotlight as Sir Michael Stoute took his workers to the Limekilns Round gallop this morning.

The regally bred son of Galileo and Light Shift hasn't lived up to his early career billing but fresh from a break went slightly better than ACROSS THE STARS.

FRONTISPIECE has proved a good money spinner for connections and he came up the same strip with ELUCIDATION and DESERT OF DREAMS.

Frontispiece was always holding the call and readily pulled a couple clear when asked to stretch.

The four two-year-olds that worked included SEXTANT who was partnered by Ryan Moore but ELECTOR ultimately had that one's measure with MOQUAARAT and BEACHWALK whipping them in.

The action then moved to the Long gallop where AUTOCRATIC showed his well being by drawing a couple clear of SHRAAOH.

KARAWAAN gained a confidence boosting triumph at Chelmsford and now looks one to follow in handicaps.
