Divers: Prep race before Cheltenham return at Musselburgh on Saturday

Divers continues his Cheltenham Festival preparations by running in the John Smith's Scottish County Hurdle at Musselburgh on Saturday.

Ferdy Murphy is using this race over the smaller obstacles as a prep race for Byrne Group Plate with the eight-year-old won a novice handicap chase at the March showpiece last year.

"It's just a case of getting a run into him and this looked a good place to go," said the West Witton handler.

"It's great to have some racing on and it should be decent ground, which will suit him well as he wouldn't want to have a hard race on heavy ground at this stage of the season.

"All going well he'll have this run and then go back to Cheltenham for the Byrne Group Plate."
