Voler La Vedette: Her own worst nightmare
Voler La Vedette is likely to follow the same route as last season which saw her go close to defeating the mighty Big Buck's in the World Hurdle when she kicks her campaign off in the Lismullen Hurdle at Navan on Sunday.
Colm Murphy's mare only went down narrowly to the great stayer at Cheltenham, and another crack at the Andy Stewart-owned superstar is on the cards in March.
Voler La Vedette won the Lismullen 12 months ago and followed up in the Hatton's Grace at Fairyhouse a few weeks later.
Murphy can see no reason to change that route.
"In fairness, she'd be entitled to go and win it, all going well," said Murphy.
"She's her own worst nightmare, though. We'd be looking for a really good run and the plan would be then to go back to Fairyhouse for the Hatton's Grace.
"I'd would say we'll be doing the same as last year with her, there's no real mapping needed as it's mapped out for us, we won't really have a choice where we go with her."
