Gevrey Chambertin: Could run in the Martin Pipe
Gevrey Chambertin remains on track to line up in the Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys Handicap Hurdle at Cheltenham.
Trained by David Pipe, the full-brother to Grands Crus was reported to be on track for this race by his owner Roger Stanley, who nicknamed him Geoffrey, earlier in the week.
Pipe, not surprisingly, has multiple entries including Ballynagour (on course for the Byrne Group Plate), Tanerko Emery, Buddy Bolero (National Hunt Chase entry) and Shoegazer among others.
Paul Nicholls and Gordon Elliott are other trainers with strong hands at the top of the handicap while Willie Mullins' Abbey Lane, who is in line for a big bonus if winning any race at Cheltenham, retains his entry.
