Sand Vixen edges a thriller.
Godolphin hit the bullseye for the second time at Newbury when Sand Vixen edged out 2-1 favourite Shamandar in a thrilling finish to the Bathwick Tyres St Hugh's Stakes.
Dettori always appeared to have plenty of horse under him on the 7-2 chance, but Shamandar looked the likely winner once swooping to the lead passing the one-furlong marker.
However, Kirsty Milczarek's mount did herself no favours when hanging badly across the track in the closing stages.
Sand Vixen then came back at William Haggas' charge to score by a nose.
Bin Suroor said: "I like the filly a lot. The first time she ran at Haydock I went all the way up there to see her run, but she was too green.
"She had improved all of the time since then and has a good turn of foot.
"She looks a lot better in herself now than she did when she first ran.
"We'll try and find a Group race for her next and she could be a filly we'll take to the Cheveley Park."
Dettori added: "She's very speedy and honest.
"She's done well to last out and she's a good, honest filly."
