Main Aim - staged repeat win.
Main Aim won the Timeform Jury Stakes for the second successive year with a hard-fought victory over Doncaster Rover.
Ryan Moore, completing a near 9-1 double, always had the Sir Michael Stoute-trained entire handily-placed as Georgebernardshaw set the pace.
Lord Shanakill then went on as the field turned for home but his challenge soon petered out as Main Aim kicked on.
The 2-1 joint-favourite had to be ridden out to keep Doncaster Rover at bay by three-quarters of a length. Dream Eater was a similar distance away in third.
"He is in the Golden Jubilee at Ascot, but I don't know if he will go there - we have also got Showcasing in the race," said owner Prince Khalid Abdullah's racing manager Teddy Grimthorpe.
"The ground is a factor because Main Aim likes a bit of cut and I'm not sure we would get that at Ascot anyway."
Moore added: "He was drawn on the outside and I couldn't get any cover.
"Three of them kicked on and started racing much sooner than I would have liked but he was very game today and he outbattled them."s
Despite Grimthorpe's reservations, Main Aim was trimmed to 10-1 from 16s for the Golden Jubilee with Victor Chandler. Sky Bet are unchanged at 16s.
