Electric Waves - Cornwallis winner.
Ed McMahon and Richard Mullen continued their regular big-race successes on southern courses in the Sodexo Prestige Cornwallis Stakes at Ascot.
The pair have combined with Temple Meads to lift two valuable prizes at Newbury, where Electric Waves (7-1) had also struck in the Listed St Hugh's Stakes.
She was forgiven her run in the Flying Childers at Doncaster last time and in a five-furlong Group Three in which very few got involved, Electric Waves surged two and a quarter lengths ahead.
"She got very excited before the Flying Childers - it wasn't the ground - but we knew if she could get her mental constitution right she had a chance," said Mullen.
McMahon added: "I should think that's the end of her season - there's not much left anyway."
