Cape Dollar wins the Rockfel Stakes.
Cape Dollar (7-2) emerged on top in an exciting three-way finish to the Rockfel Stakes at Newmarket.
Partnered by Ryan Moore, the Stoute's filly pushed on two furlongs out to challenge 9-4 favourite I Love Me, but the latter was still in front a furlong from home.
Cape Dollar found plenty inside the distance though and while Cochabamba emerged from the pack in her bid for place honours, Moore's mount proved half a length too smart.
Cochabamba claimed second with I Love Me a further head back in third.
Bruce Raymond, racing manager for winning owner Saeed Suhail, said: "We were a little bit apprehensive about the ground but she picked up very well on it.
"She has been working well so we thought we were heading here with a good chance.
"It looks like she will stay another furlong and I would imagine she will be trained with the Guineas in mind. It's obviously up to Sir Michael, but I know Saeed would be very keen."
Sky Bet introduced the winner at 25-1 for next year's 1000 Guineas.
