More Than Real: Too good for the favourite
American runners dominated the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf with Todd Pletcher's More Than Real proving too strong for hot favourite Winter Memories.
The latter travelled strongly throughout but had nowhere to go soon after the turn for home as More Than Real and Garrett Gomez kicked for home.
She managed to keep up the gallop all the way to the line to take victory, with Winter Memories second and Kathmanblu third.
O'Brien's Together fared best of the European raiders in fifth, with Brian Meehan's Quiet Oasis, Richard Hannon's Tale Untold and the John Gosden-trained Flood Plain all failing to get involved in the finish.
Murtagh, riding Together, said: "It's lovely ground - it's good to firm. I was held up at the three-furlong pole, but she came home well."
Quiet Oasis' trainer Brian Meehan added: "The track didn't suit her but it was only her fourth run and she will keep improving."
Flood Plain's rider William Buick said: "From the start I wasn't even in it. She pulled up a little bit sore.
"The top of the ground is coming off and it's sloppy."
