Midnight Chase: On his way to another Cheltenham win.
Midnight Chase strengthened his Cheltenham record with a remarkable win in the Majordomo Hospitality Handicap Chase on Friday.
The 11-4 favourite lost the lead when making a mistake two out but somehow rallied on the run-in to overhaul Presenting Forever and score by a neck.
Now four from five over fences at Prestbury Park, Neil Mulholland's stable star is to be aimed at the totesport Cheltenham Gold Cup.
"He only ever does what he has to do and he has a little fan club here now as he keeps coming back," said Mulholland.
"He'll have a break now and be entered for the Gold Cup, with possibly one more run before, maybe in February."
Sky Bet have installed him as a 25-1 chance for chasing's blue riband and spokesman Matt Doyle said: "The winner has shown tremendous guts to get back up after missing out the second last and his exemplary course record makes him a lively Gold Cup outsider if he can keep improving."
