Bostons Angel captured his second Grade One prize with victory in the Dr. P.J. Moriarty Novices' Chase at Leopardstown.

The whole complexion of the race changed at the penultimate fence when Quel Esprit fell and badly hampered stablemate Mikael D'Haguenet.

This left the winner and Magnaminity duelled for the lead and they fought out a tremendous duel to the line.

Bostons Angel showed tremendous courage to rally after being headed to score by a head with Mikael D'Haguenet back in third having recovered to hold every chance at the last before tiring.

Sky Bet cut the winner to 16-1 from 33s for the RSA Chase.

Harrington said: "He is not the type to win by six lengths as he only does what he has to. I thought today's distance would be too short, but Robert did the right thing by sending him on.

"He has now won two Grade Ones and is entitled to run in the RSA Chase at Cheltenham.

"He doesn't mind most grounds and will keep trying up the hill - he does need a good gallop in the race though."
