Nina Carberry landed an emotional Irish Grand National aboard Organisedconfusion for her uncle, Arthur Moore.

The eight-year-old was taking a massive step up in trip in the feature race but the 12-1 chance appeared to relish the extra distance to land the spoils for an Carberry and Arthur Moore.

The race was staged at a frenetic pace with Deal Done kicking on after the third fence to establish a substantial lead with Hughies Grey and Western Charmer among the pursuers.

However, in a race largely bereft of incidents, the race began in earnest with two to jump as the long time leader quickly folded and Carberry brought her mount though to take closer order.

Western Charmer (16-1) rallied gamely to be second while morning gamble Sunnyhillboy (6-1 favourite) customarily stayed on to be third.

Quiscover Fontaine (33-1) was fourth whilst A New Story (25-1), who won the race last year, was back in fifth.

Quantitativeeasing travelled well in mid division through the race and made significant progress with a couple of fences to jump but seemingly failed to stay.

Organisedconfusion was the first six-year-old to be successful since Tartan Ace in 1973, while Moore won the race as a jockey in 1971 on Kings Sprite and had previously won the race as a trainer with Feathered Gale in 1996.

The winner is presently a 20-1 chance with Sky Bet to land the Aintree equivalent next year.

Moore said: "He's a lovely horse - so laid-back. "We were a bit worried with him only being six but he has a great engine.

"He has a fantastic temperament and has never run a bad race.

"We'll give him a good break and he'll still be a big baby when he comes back.

"It was the obvious race for him after the Leopardstown Chase.

"It's a great family occasion with Nina on board.

"It's magic to bring this off for some super people."
