Sole Power (l): Back to his best and wins the Temple Stakes
The 'Budapest Bullet' Overdose failed to fire on his British debut as Sole Power won the betfred.com Temple Stakes at Haydock.
The winner, who was a huge price when winning last year's Nunthorpe Stakes at York, was always travelling strongly under Keagan Leatham and went to the front at the furlong pole to score by three-quarters of a length.
Kingsgate Native was second ahead of Prohibit with Overdose weakening tamely to finish unplaced after racing up with the pace early.
Latham said: "They went very quick early on. I got a slight knock out of the gates, but I wasn't too worried.
"They went hard early on and that worked in our favour. He picked up very nicely."
Sky Bet cut the winner to 9-1 from 25s for the King's Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot.
