O'Brien: Confirmed Royal Ascot remains the plan
Power will head to Royal Ascot despite being given an almighty scare in the TP Waters EBF Marble Hill Stakes at the Curragh.
Aidan O'Brien's charge was already favourite for the Coventry Stakes but scrambled home by a short-head from Tough As Nails under Seamie Heffernan.
Fire Lily was third, while Mick Channon's runner Signifer weakened inside the final furlong after holding every chance.
O'Brien said: "He won his maiden very nicely here at the start of the month. We were thinking of going to Ascot and this was going to be a good sharpener for him.
Heffernan added: "He has a bit of class as five furlongs wouldn't be his trip.
"That race fitted in nicely for him as he now has two runs under his belt going to Royal Ascot, which I'd imagine would be on the agenda."
