Fanunalter: Diomed winner
Fanunalter (16-1) flashed home under Adam Kirby to win the Investec Diomed Stakes at Epsom.
Marco Botti's five-year-old was always travelling well but had to thread his way through a wall of horses inside the final furlong.
Kirby eventually got a nice split towards the rail and pushed his mount out to win by half a length from St Moritz (9-2).
Rio De La Plata (7-2) held on for third under Frankie Dettori while 15-8 favourite Premio Loco could never land a blow under George Baker.
"It's very satisfying to have a winner on Derby Day and I've never doubted the horse - he needs luck but I knew he would handle the track and he likes fast ground," said Botti.
"To be honest, today was the big plan and I haven't thought about anything else yet."
Kirby added: "I didn't think they were going that quick at the start but they turned on the taps in the straight and I was lucky enough to squeeze him through."
